  • Service your furnace, fireplace or wood stove
  • Stock up on wood for wood stove/fireplace
  • Have your fireplace cleaned
  • Check the seals on your fireplace & stove

INSPECT YOUR ROOF, SIDING & WINDOWSHouse

  • Fix any cracks in siding, roofing or windows
  • Clear any debris from around house (ie. leaves in gutters)
  • Re-calk windows and seals around house

PERFORM INTERIOR INSPECTIONInside-Heat

  • Check doors, vents, fans, windows
  • Replace any air/vent filters
  • Consider installing shades/curtains or weather stripping to reduce heat escape

PREPARE YOUR LAWN FOR WINTERLawn-Prep

  • Remove leaves, weeds & debris in yard
  • Apply fertilizer and overseed lawn
  • Adjust watering schedule and blowout your sprinklers before freezing

CHECK YOUR LIGHTINGLight

  • Determine if exterior lighting is sufficient
  • Consider replacing lights with LED bulbs for energy efficiency
  • Adjust blinds/shades to maximize sunlight
